1, Cowherd and Weaver Girl

The legend of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl began in The Book of Songs, which is a famous folk love story in ancient China, and comes from the star names of the Cowherd and the Vega. Legend has it that the granddaughter Weaver of the ancient Emperor of Heaven is very good at weaving, weaving rosy clouds for the sky every day. She hated this boring life, so she secretly went down to earth, married a cowherd in Hexi privately, and lived a life of farming and weaving.

2. Meng Jiangnv

The legend of Meng Jiangnv originated from Zuo Zhuan, which was widely circulated among the people by oral inheritance. It was not until the early 20th century that she was brought into the researchers' field of vision under the impetus of the May 4th Movement.

3. Liang Zhu

Butterfly lovers, which first appeared in Ten Stories and Four Stories by Tang Zaiyan, is one of the four ancient folk love stories in China, the most attractive oral inheritance art and national intangible cultural heritage in China, and the only Chinese folk literature and art with wide influence in the world.

4. Legend of White Snake

Legend of the White Snake originated from the legend of the Tang Dynasty, matured and prevailed in the Qing Dynasty, and was a model of China's folk collective creation.
