In the current pattern of diversified development in the field of calligraphy art, various calligraphy schools are constantly emerging with different styles. There are three young and middle-aged calligraphers, who insist on advancing in the classical calligraphy style, constantly trace back to the vein of traditional elite culture, and maintain the purity of China calligraphy culture with elegant posture and noble character. Cultural institutions in Han and Tang Dynasties have always insisted on promoting the development of China's classical art. This time, they launched a joint exhibition of calligraphy by Luo Yang, Zong Jiashun and Yang Weiguo, with a view to doing their bit to promote the style of classical calligraphy.

Calligraphy is a skill to express elite culture with the most common behavior. However, this is not just a simple question of skill. It has something to do with culture. The three calligraphers we introduced all have a deep understanding of traditional culture. At the same time, while absorbing the essence of classical calligraphy style, it has been continuously integrated into the accumulation of China traditional cultural knowledge, thus forming its own unique style. In today's book world, we can feel this faint and ancient flavor, which makes us rethink the significance of calligraphy inheritance and innovation. Five famous artists, Luo Yang, Zong Jiashun, Chen Peilin, Yang Weiguo and Wu Qiang, are outstanding groups active in today's art world. This painting and calligraphy exhibition was launched after two years of careful preparation. Calligraphy involves orthography, calligraphy, calligraphy and seal script, and painting represents flowers, birds, landscapes and figures. Although each person exhibited more than 20 paintings, it was enough to reflect the best level of their creation. As middle-aged painters and calligraphers, they can get together because they share the same interests and are similar in age, because their mood is indifferent, and because their rooted traditions and self-discipline are quite different, but their works have distinct personalities.

Zong Jiashun, a calligrapher and seal engraver who went out from Zhenjiang, was named Yishan. 1955 was born in Dagang and studied calligraphy with the famous painter Liu Bingsen in his twenties. Especially during his later tenure as Mr. Zhao Puchu's secretary, he was deeply attracted by his master demeanor and academic support. Park Lao's profound Confucianism, Buddhism, calligraphy and poetry, as well as his noble personality charm, have always influenced him and given him great enlightenment and endless benefits. Because of his long-term education in the circle of books and his understanding of ethereal Buddhism, Zong Jiashun attached great importance to the inheritance of tradition, seeking creation in inheritance and "meaning" in "Dharma". He knows that style is the life of art, and pays attention to the cultivation of style without deliberate pursuit, so that it can be accumulated and developed. Looking at Zong Jiashun's running script again, on the basis of inheriting the essence of Mr. Zhao Puchu's calligraphy, he learned from others and gradually formed his simple, quiet, dignified and elegant personal appearance. And his quiet and elegant, Zen-like official script works are even more fascinating and intriguing. Zong Jiashun is simple and sincere. Although he has lived and worked in Beijing for many years, his affection for his hometown has not diminished. He not only participated in many calligraphy and painting exhibitions such as "I am from Zhenjiang" and "Commemorating the 60th anniversary of Zhenjiang's liberation", but also often donated works for charity sale to support the charity in Zhenjiang, showing an artist's sense of social responsibility. Zong Jiashun is currently Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Buddhist Association, Vice President of China Calligraphy Research Institute and Director of China Calligraphers Association. He published all kinds of brushes and hard pens, Copybook for calligraphy copied scriptures, and wrote plaques and cylindrical couplets for many temples.
