Biography of I.M. Pei

Born on April 26, 1917 in Guangzhou, China, Beijing I.M. went to the United States in the 1930s and studied architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. He was awarded the Gold Medal of the American Institute of Architects in 1979 and the Gold Medal of French Architecture in 1981.
