1996 won the Tai Ji Chuan gold medal in Wushu in the Tai Ji Chuan Championship, and student Lin Qing won the bronze medal in the women's team.

1996 was hired as the executive director of Liaoning Tai Ji Chuan Association. In the same year, due to ZhangChang's outstanding achievements and influence in Shenyang, relevant materials were included in the book China Wushu compiled by the Chinese Wushu Association.
