What is a scholar and how to understand it? List ten ancient scholars.

Scholars refer to scholars in ancient times, and they are also the collective names of ancient literati and intellectuals in China. They learn knowledge, spread culture, respect the king politically, follow the Tao academically, and live between the Tao and the king. They are participants in national politics and creators and inheritors of China's traditional culture. Scholars are a special identity in ancient China and an elite social group unique to Chinese civilization.

In many ancient times, scholars, especially those serving in the imperial court, used clothes to show their identity except beards, and they were not allowed to wear them indiscriminately. For example, in the Ming Dynasty, only one official was allowed to wear a rhinoceros belt at the lower level of a jade belt. This identity was not only a way of showing off and self-affirmation, but also a way of identifying each other's status
