Why do young people in China pay less and less attention to traditional festivals in China?

Nowadays, young people celebrate foreign festivals because traditional festivals in China lack romanticism. There is only one festival in China that is suitable for men and women to express their love for each other, and that is Qixi, China's Valentine's Day. In other festivals, we pay attention to family ties and commemorate the ancients.

There is no such problem in foreign festivals. You can invite your girlfriend to experience the holiday romance on Valentine's Day and Christmas.

This is the difference between eastern and western cultures. China people's thoughts are more traditional, but today's young people pay more attention to romance. Especially after the reform and opening up, the spread of western ideas in China has become more and more extensive.

Until young people give up all traditional festivals, such as Mid-Autumn Festival and Spring Festival in China, these advantages are still remembered by young people. As for the Dragon Boat Festival, I know it commemorates Qu Yuan, but young people without traditional education may not know who Qu Yuan is.

Among the interviewees, more than half don't know what the Spring Festival in China means, and what's the difference between Mid-Autumn Festival and Halloween in the west. Among the respondents, middle-aged people accounted for about 30% and young people accounted for 62%. When it comes to who to choose for Spring Festival and Christmas, more than half of people choose Christmas because they are excited. Many people think that the Spring Festival has changed, and the Spring Festival is to take a few days off. Others think they don't know why China celebrates the Spring Festival. However, 67% people said they didn't know why they celebrated Christmas, but they celebrated it after seeing everyone celebrating.

However, several elderly people interviewed said that people nowadays are too impetuous, many people blindly worship foreign things and flatter foreign countries, and some businesses add fuel to the fire in order to sell things. However, these old people said that they did not believe that foreign festivals were more attractive than traditional festivals in China. "I think many people are ignorant. They don't understand the rich meaning of festivals in China. I hope the country can strengthen the popularization of education in this field. Otherwise, traditional festivals in China will be replaced by foreign festivals in the future. "
