Introduce Italian customs and habits in English

First of all, for me, the most important thing about living in Milan is that Italians believe in "la bella figura" (usually referring to good performance), and they spend a lot of time and energy to achieve this, even if they just go to the local market. Milan is a wealthy commercial city, and its appearance is very important. A lot of money is spent on clothes, accessories (even men wear handbags ...) and gfd.

Food and figure are inseparable: they choose food very carefully (somehow, it always seems to me that it is not as enjoyable as the French), and most people are slim. For example, coffee shops have small round tables and no stools, which is always a strange way for me to relax.

Coffee is very important to culture: the quality of coffee beans is widely discussed, and the production of espresso is almost as respected as the tea ceremony in Japan.

Politeness is very important, that is, saluting people (saying good morning, etc. ), hold the door for them, etc.

When I was there, there were constant conflicts between rival political groups, and you had to run for your life as soon as you saw any kind of flag. Strikes are commonplace: Italian governments change more frequently than some people change their socks (certainly not in Milan).
