Representative repertoire of Taoist love plays

The early repertoire of Taoist sentiment mostly reflects the Taoist life and promotes Taoist teachings, such as Jingtanghui, Erdou Linying, and Gao Lou Zhuang. Mid-term repertoire content is mostly Taoist cultivation of virtuous and good stories. Representative plays include Wang Xiang Lying on Ice, Guo Ju Burying Children, and Xiao Tao Grinding. In the middle and late repertoire content reflecting folk life stories, representative repertoire are "young and old for a wife", "playing Zaojun", "top light", "playing knife" and so on. The accompanying musical instruments of the opera are flute, sihu, dabanhu, and xiaobanhu in the literary field, and the same as the clapper in the martial arts field, except for the fishing drums and the simple boards. The roles are divided into five lines: red (sousheng), black (jingjiao), sheng, dan, and chou, and the performance emphasizes literature over martial arts, winning by singing.

The traditional repertoire of Daoxiang Opera*** has nearly a hundred books, such as "Liu Gongcheng", "Golden Bracelet and Jade Ring", "Big Red Robe", "Laundry Record", "Bee Record", "Xiaokunshan", "Three Scholars", "Lvbu in the Scholarship", etc. The traditional repertoire is organized and adapted for staging in the same way as the clappers. The traditional repertoires that have been adapted and staged include Fighting Supervisor Wan, Advising Neighbors, Wang Jindou Borrowing Grain, and Standing on the Wall of Flowers, among others. Transplanted repertoire includes Three Looks at the Royal Sisters, Qiao Taishou's Messy Spotting of Mandarin Ducks, False Son-in-Law Riding the Dragon, Three Weeping Halls, and Kneeling in the Cave. The modern plays on stage include Father and Daughter, Mother and Daughter Catch the Meeting, Qua Daughter-in-Law, Liu Hulan, Jiang Sister, Partisan, Guo Daniang Buying Fish, On the Way Forward, Two Neighbors, Sons and Daughters, Climbing Up, and so on.
