Ma Weidou talks about China's traditional weapons.
With the development of economy and society, many people began to be carried away by the immediate material interests and forgot to abide by the traditional virtues of honesty and trustworthiness left by their ancestors. Their conscience is numb enough to know that it is a scam and a fake, but they compromise for short-term interests. In all areas of our lives, there are similar situations of deception and dishonesty.
A Clean Stream in Literary and Art Circles —— Ma Weidou
As we all know, the field of cultural relics and antiques is a field of profiteering. China has a profound culture and a long history. In this process, generations of skilled craftsmen have produced many beautiful works of art ... now we call them antiques.
In the field of literary play, if an ancient cultural relic can be unearthed, it can be said that it is not far from making a fortune! So many people began to fake, shoddy, and gain benefits in this way. This kind of phenomenon is really common, so in the eyes of many people, the industry of Wan Wen is full of fish and pearls, which makes people sneer. However, there is one person who has become a clean stream in Wan Wen antique industry, and he is Ma Weidou.
Ma Weidou was born in Beijing, 1955. His ancestral home is in Shandong. He is also a cultural scholar, and now he is the curator and founder of Guanfu Museum. Ma Weidou showed his love for China traditional culture when he was at school. He once published many articles praising traditional culture in China Youth Daily, and later became the editor of Youth Literature.
Love antiques, often pick up leaks.
But what he really loves is not words, but antiques. For Ma Weidou, writing is a means to make a living, but playing with antiques is his lifelong dream.
In his spare time, he always looks through classical materials to learn about the cultural relics left over from ancient times. After his unremitting efforts, 1996, Ma Weidou founded the first private museum in China, which is the Guanfu Museum.
There are many ancient China artworks on display in the museum. There are many kinds of collections, including ceramics, jade, paintings and so on. But at first, Ma Weidou just liked collecting antiques, and his antique treasures were few and far between. However, he has a hobby, that is, he often goes to the antique market to find Taobao shells. In the process, he even scoured out several ancient genuine products, thus making a lot of money. It can be said that Ma Weidou has made such great achievements in the field of literature and drama, relying on "picking up what is missing".
In fact, Ma Weidou's "missing" place is not a tall collection museum, but a small vendor in the Wan Wen market. Generally, when he enters the store, he will have a general look at whether there are any unique cultural relics similar to the pictures recorded in the book. If there is, he will start his own professionalism and investigate whether this thing is genuine or just a fake imitated by small vendors to sell at a high price.
Through this series of mobile observations, Ma Weidou can basically determine whether this cultural relic is true or not. Of course, he sometimes makes mistakes. On several occasions, he felt that this thing was well-made and similar to the cultural relics recorded in the book, but he paid a lot of money to buy it home and found it was a fake.
Although Ma Weidou will feel blood loss, he still enjoys it. For him, it takes courage to gain a foothold in the antique market, and another reason why he can persist is that he has really tasted the sweetness in this industry. He once bought a gold-plated silkworm of the Han Dynasty in a stall and later auctioned it at a very high price. On one occasion, he also found an imitation Ru kiln porcelain in a small shop during the Ming Chenghua period. At that time, only this porcelain in his hand was the only complete imitation Ru kiln porcelain in China, and later this porcelain was auctioned at a high price.
It is precisely because of the success of these two times that Ma Weidou became the man of God in everyone's mouth. Many people began to learn from him, and went to vendors to pick up leaks. Many TV treasure-hunting programs began to invite Ma Weidou to their programs to help them identify literary treasures in a more professional and effective way.
Be honest with others in the face of temptation.
Once, Ma Weidou participated in a treasure hunt program. He was a treasure hunt guest. The treasures participating in the treasure inspection will be auctioned the next day. Before the program started, the program director decided to return a treasure. The owner of the treasure said it was an imitation porcelain of Kangxi, and the asking price was 40 thousand. But at that time, the program group felt that this baby was not real, and it was not worth showing at the auction at all, let alone 40 thousand. And if there is a fake at the Jianbao meeting, it will definitely bring huge losses to the program group.
This matter was known by Ma Weidou. He went to see the treasure himself. After careful appraisal, he found that it was really not an imitation treasure during the Kangxi period, but an antique during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty! At that time, the program group was very happy that the program could be carried out as scheduled. But in fact, Ma Weidou is also facing some tests at this time.
If he doesn't tell the age of this treasure, but says it is a fake, he can buy this porcelain at a very low price and sell it at a high price, which is sure to make a lot of money. But Ma Weidou didn't do it at that time. He spoke of the value of this porcelain. Later, this porcelain of Chenghua period in Ming Dynasty was bought at a high price of 2.2 million!
Many people said that Ma Weidou was stupid when they learned about it. He obviously has this ability and strength. He can make so much money by telling a little lie. Why not do it? At that time, Ma Weidou said that he could stay in this industry in Wan Wen for so long because he put honesty first in everything he did.
He said that even in the face of the biggest temptation, he would not waver, otherwise he would do it soon. Ma Weidou also said, not only in the field of literature and antiques, but also in other fields. Only by paying attention to honesty can we build our own reputation and shine, win people's trust and gain long-term benefits.
Ma Weidou's life is full of "treasures". Through the "treasure", he discovered many treasures handed down from ancient times and established his own private museum. He accumulated a lot of wealth through "treasure". But it is such a powerful person who has never wavered in the face of money and temptation. Although he loves to "find out", he will never do such a thing of "finding out" by lying to get rich.
Indeed, each of us should learn from Ma Weidou, be honest and true, and not be carried away by immediate interests. Only in this way can we achieve real success!
