Shaanxi Opera originated in ancient Shaanxi and Gansu. What should percussion be used for?

 Opera, popular in Gansu and Shaanxi, is composed of myths, folk stories and various case-solving dramas. Among them, the well-known tracks are Spring and Autumn Pen Club, Treasure of Harmony, Yuanyang Quilt, Shooting the Nine Suns, Crying at the Great Wall, Chopping Dong Zhuo, Legend of the White Snake, The Vatican Palace, The Iron Rooster and The Third Mother's Godson.

Shaanxi Opera originated in the Western Zhou Dynasty and is one of the oldest plays in China. In ancient times, Shaanxi and Gansu belonged to the state of Qin, so it was called Shaanxi Opera. Because at the beginning of the performance, Shaanxi Opera was often accompanied by jujube bangzi, so it was also called Bangzi Opera by many people. About its origin is about the pre-Qin period, but there are different opinions about its formal formation, which are mainly divided into three types, namely pre-Qin, Tang Dynasty and Ming Dynasty.

It is said that Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, set up a pear garden to sing court music after he ascended the throne. At that time, Li Guinian, a musician in Liyuan, wrote "The Song of the King of Qin Breaking the Array" with the so-called Shaanxi Opera. This is also one of the earliest Qin opera music in history. As for the records of Qin opera in the pre-Qin period, due to the long history, the relevant documents are basically lost, so it is natural to know whether they have been formed.

Some people think that the Qin Opera in the Tang Dynasty was relatively simple at first, and then it began to improve in content and form under the influence of Song Ci. It was not until Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty that the present Qin Opera was finally formed. Therefore, the earliest Shaanxi opera can only be regarded as the primary stage of its development, and not many people know it, so its development is relatively slow and there is no formal formation at all. Therefore, they think that the real Qin opera was popular all over the country during Jiajing period, with a complete catalogue and performance system, so its formal formation should be counted from the Ming Dynasty, not the pre-Qin or Tang Dynasty.

In any case, as one of the oldest operas in China, Shaanxi Opera finally survived. Although not many people know this now, it is still a traditional culture in China.
