Eco-plastic industry

The 20th century is the century of steel, and 2 1 century will be the century of plastics. As the fourth largest material after wood, cement and steel, plastics will be more widely used in people's daily life and related fields. However, the extensive use of plastics is also facing great challenges, first of all, environmental problems. The strong implementation of the "plastic limit order" is a signal worth pondering. For the whole plastic bag production industry, the "plastic limit order" is not only a challenge, but also an opportunity. On June 5438+1 October1day, 2007, the national standard "Definition, Classification, Labeling and Degradability Requirements of Degradable Plastics" was implemented. If this is a kind of thrust for the country to promote the development of environmental protection plastic bag industry, then the "plastic limit order" is an external pressure. For the production industry of biological and degradable plastic bags, the "plastic limit order" undoubtedly ushered in spring. For example, non-woven fabrics will usher in new business opportunities through the "plastic limit order".

Eco-plastics was born in1990s. In less than 20 years, it has gradually formed a certain industrial layout, especially in Europe, America and Japan. Royal Shell Oil Company once predicted that in the first 50 years of 2 1 century, biomass will provide 30% of the world's chemicals and fuels, and the sales revenue will reach150 billion US dollars. The output of petroleum-based plastic packaging materials in China alone exceeds 3.5 million tons, accounting for about 18% of the total plastic production. If it is replaced by biomass plastics, the sales income can reach more than 40 billion yuan. Eco-plastic packaging and eco-plastic bags have undeniable investment value. However, the high price is the real bottleneck restricting the wide application of eco-plastics. Around 2000, there were nearly 100 domestic manufacturers of environmentally-friendly alternative plastic products, but most of them were in a state of suspension or semi-suspension due to cost and other reasons. The rapid development of eco-plastics not only needs the government's attention and guidance, but also needs the pressure of social environment and the pull of market demand.

The price of plastic raw materials has generally skyrocketed. According to the rising trend of crude oil, the price of ordinary plastics will be close to eco-plastics. With the large-scale production of eco-plastics, the price advantage of ordinary plastics will gradually break. For plastic packaging and plastic bag production industries, we should speed up the development of downstream products, actively cooperate with the international community, introduce foreign advanced production technology on the basis of independent innovation, and use the market to drive the industrialization and scale of eco-plastics. For the government, it is necessary to formulate and improve the industry standard of environmental protection plastic products as soon as possible. At the same time, through tax incentives, subsidies, etc., support enterprises that develop and produce environmentally friendly plastic products. Powerful enterprises should support listing, and enterprises that cannot switch to environmentally-friendly plastic products in the short term should be charged certain taxes, even punished, and eliminated if necessary.
