Two Tigers sheet music
Two Tigers The sheet music is as follows:
Two Tigers
The origins of the melody can be traced back to 17th century Europe. The French children's song Frère Jacques ("Friar Marc" in Germany, "Friar John" in England)
The lyrics of the "tiger version" may have first appeared as early as the 32nd year of the Republic of China (1943), since the "Two Tigers" by Cao Juren was written by Chiang Ching-kuo. Cao Juren's "Chiang Ching-kuo's Discussions" mentions a children's song called "Two Tigers" in section 5, "New Gannan So".
Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo liked the song and seems to have advocated the "Three Tigers" version.
"Many memoirs mention that whenever Chiang Ching-kuo encountered a major problem, he would always lead the masses in singing this children's song to motivate the masses as well as to inspire himself. However, who wrote the lyrics of the "tiger version", though fortunate enough to have found the so-called origins of the song, does not stand up to scrutiny.
