Gumingzhai Scenic Area is located in Guminzhuang Village, Liancun Village, Xianchang Town, Shanglin County. It preserves the largest and most complete rammed earth building community in Guangxi at present. The roadway in Guminzhuang village twists and turns, paved with local sandstone stones according to the mountain trend, vertically stacked according to the mountain trend, and the gurgling mountain springs run through the village. There are 58 rammed earth buildings/kloc-0 in Guminzhuang, some of which were built in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. Guminzhuang has a profound historical and cultural background, and was once rated as a village with ethnic characteristics in China and a traditional village in China.

The residents of Gumin Village in Gumingzhai are mostly Chen, Wei and Su, all of whom are Zhuang.
