How to make zongzi?

The main steps of making zongzi are as follows:

Materials:

Glutinous rice: the right amount

Zongye: Measure your feet.

Steps:

1. Preparation:

Soak glutinous rice in clear water for at least 4-6 hours or overnight to soften it.

2. Packaging preparation:

According to your personal preference, handle red dates, mung beans, lotus seeds, peanuts or any stuffing you like in advance.

Cut the jujube in half and remove the core. Mung beans, lotus seeds and peanuts need to be cooked in advance.

3. Bao jiaozi:

Take a zongzi leaf and fold it into a conical funnel, leaving enough space at the bottom to put glutinous rice.

Spread a layer of glutinous rice first, then add a proper amount of filler, and then spread a layer of glutinous rice flat.

Fold the leaves of Zongzi and wrap them tightly with glutinous rice and stuffing.

Tie the zongzi tightly with string or onion leaves.

4. Cook zongzi:

Put the wrapped zongzi into a large pot and add enough water, the water level is higher than that of zongzi.

After boiling, turn to low heat and continue cooking for 2-3 hours until the zongzi is cooked, soft and the rice is loose.

5. Take out and cool:

Take out the cooked zongzi and put it on the shelf to cool.
