Traditional Cymbidium hybridum grows in mountainous areas, and villagers in mountainous areas usually call it Gaolan, Dalan, Niulan and Shanglan.

Yellow series: sunset (perfume), bright moon and flying saucer.

White series: Glacier (Hanging), Dawn

Cymbidium hybridum is traditionally divided into red shell, green shell, red-green shell and white-green shell according to the color of flower stems and flower sheaths. Like Chunlan, it is divided into lotus petals, plum petals and daffodil petals. The main varieties are: Acura, Jin Aosu, Xie Peimei, Old Shanghai Mei, Cuicalyx, Dayipin, Jiangnan New Acura, etc.

There are eight kinds of traditional famous cymbidium: Dayipin, Mei Cheng, Shanghai Mei, Guanding, Zi Yuan, Dyeing Word, Panlv and Dangzi;

There are eight traditional new types: Loumei, Cuicalyx, Acura, Blue and White Plum, Jiangnan New Acura, Duanmei, Cuimei and Rongmei.

New varieties: Tianjiao Peony, Sixi Peony, Lv Yun Peony, Far East Butterfly, Lu Yi Butterfly, Loutai Butterfly, Ying Butterfly, BBK, Qunying Gathering, Xianhe Acura, Jianhu Beauty, Quanzhou Mei, Cui Taoxian Shou, Lion Butterfly, Lingnan White Crane, Admiralty, Cymbidium Crystal Flower, Zijuan, Wang Yuemei, Chrysanthemum, Duoyun and Ding Zhe.
