Is ivory trade a spice trade
Yes Ivory trade has a long history in China. During the Tang and Song Dynasties, Guangzhou and Quanzhou Port were important distribution centers for foreign commodities such as ivory, rhinoceros horn and spices. In the 1980s, the national policy encouraged "processing with imported materials", and in the17th century, it occupied a large area of land on the east coast of Africa, trading spices, slaves and ivory. However, since 1989, the United Nations has banned the ivory trade.
