Traditional reservoir dam slope

Just 200 meters west of Huairou City in the suburbs of Beijing, there is a reservoir built 64 years ago. In order to build this reservoir, 576 families and 2572 people from 8 villages moved out of the reservoir area.

This is Huairou Reservoir. The name of this reservoir was written by a late national leader who was deeply loved by everyone.

Cross the intersection of Fu Qian Street, pass wanda plaza, Huairou No.1 Middle School and Huairou Gymnasium, and you will arrive at the reservoir. On the left side of the road is a hill called Longshan. Let's go to the top of Longshan Mountain to see the scenery of the reservoir first.

Standing on the pavilion at the top of Longdong Mountain, you can see the front of Huairou Reservoir. Locals call it Qian Ku Reservoir. The water surface is not completely frozen, it's almost three or nine days, and the blue waves are still rippling. In the previous winter, the reservoir was completely frozen, and you could skate. Now because it is a water source protection site in Beijing, it has been surrounded by purse seines. The reservoir area is surrounded by forests where needles and broad leaves intersect. Looking around, there are green hills everywhere in spring and summer. In autumn, the layers of forests are all dyed and covered with mountains and plains, which is unique.

At present, the total storage capacity of Huairou Reservoir is1.400 million cubic meters. There are main dam, auxiliary dam, spillway, water conveyance tunnel, diversion tunnel, sluice and other projects. This is the main dam, east of Longshan and west of Fengshan, with a dam length of1038m. There is an east spillway at the foot of the west side of Longshan at the east end of the main dam. After the completion of 1958, it was rebuilt in 1964, with two 7.4m×4.3m arc steel gates, and the elevation of weir crest was 58m. We saw the flat land in the distance. It turns out that there is a morning market here, and agricultural and sideline products and aquatic products are sold. In the far downstream area, there are many waterfowl. A few days ago, several dark days and geese broke their shells and swam into the water.

The west spillway was built at 1964, located at the west end of the main dam.

Huairou Reservoir started construction on March 9th, 1958, and the dam was completed on July 9th of the same year, which took only 130 days.

Construction migrant workers come from 3,477 agricultural cooperatives in Huairou, Shunyi, Tongxian, Sanhe, Xianghe, Dachang, Daxing, Yan 'an, Jixian, Pinggu, Miyun and other 12 counties, with 63,273 people. In addition, 455 workers, 5,000 PLA officers and soldiers and 1 18 1 students participated in the construction work.

On March 9, a groundbreaking ceremony was held outside the spillway in the east of the dam. Tens of thousands of migrant workers have brought their own trolleys, 25,400 baskets, 49,800 shovels, 1023 carriages, 1943 large animals, 76,000 reed mats and122,000 kilograms of ropes in the form of government assistance. The state only subsidizes food expenses for each person every day, 0.4 yuan. All migrant workers/kloc-have not changed shifts for more than 0/00 days, and the earth and stone work on the dam is completed by manual carts and wagons fighting day and night. Rolling tools are only 65,438+0,65,438+0.75 tons of rammers, 66 road rollers, 200 wheels and a few tractors, bulldozers and stone rammers. Due to the shortage of labor, the construction of two auxiliary dams was postponed to the later stage. The intake sluice and water conveyance tunnel were completed on July 7th and July15th respectively. 1958 On July 20th, the dam was completed and the inauguration ceremony was held. The State Council Vice Premier Bo Yibo attended the meeting and cut the ribbon for the inauguration ceremony. During the construction period,1On June 26th, 958, Premier Zhou Enlai visited the construction site in person, went deep into the labor force to offer condolences to the migrant workers, and wrote "Huairou Reservoir" in his own hand.

The construction project * * * completed about 2 million cubic meters of earthwork, concrete and other projects, with a total labor of about 6 million man-days and an actual investment of about 4.8 million yuan. During the construction process, many touching stories emerged.

Huairou Reservoir is one of the major water conservancy projects in the suburbs of Beijing. In addition to normal flood control and water storage functions, it is also an important water source and water storage area in Beijing. It is also a node project of South-to-North Water Transfer Project to deliver water to Beijing through Jingmi diversion canal. Now Huairou Reservoir is well protected, surrounded by iron railings, and the dam is forbidden to put drones. There are security patrols and inspections, which are marked with the characters "Swimming and other water activities are forbidden in drinking water sources".

Go along the dam and pass a mountain bend. You can see another part of the reservoir, called the back reservoir.

The scenery of Hou Reservoir is also very beautiful. A dam extends all the way to Guojiawu Pumping Station at the northern end. From the dam, you can enjoy the scenery of Huairou Reservoir. Blue is water, white is ice, lakes and mountains are clear, the water surface is like a mirror, and the surrounding mountains are reflected in the water, which is particularly clear.

Because it is close to the city, with good air and beautiful scenery, it has become a good place for people to take a walk and relax. In the past, they could skate near the reservoir, but now they can only visit the dam because they are protected. You can also see the light show landscape on holiday nights.

Guojiawu Pumping Station is the seventh lifting pumping station that delivers water to Miyun Reservoir cascade pumping station in the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project. It adopts elbow inlet channel and siphon outlet channel, and the outlet channel is cut off by vacuum circuit breaker.

1960 After the completion of Miyun Reservoir, Huairou Reservoir became a large-scale regulating reservoir for Miyun Reservoir to supply water to Beijing. 1984, Beijing No.9 water source plant was built on the west side of the west spillway of Huairou Reservoir, supplying 360 million cubic meters of water to the capital every year, and Huairou Reservoir became one of the water resources bases in the capital.
