The butterfly that inhabits Hong Kong is printed on it, and the 20 Hong Kong dollar banknote reflects the tea-drinking culture of Hong Kong society.

Different from the traditional horizontal design, the back of the new Hong Kong dollar banknotes is in a straight format to match the theme layout, making it easier to distinguish it from the banknotes currently in circulation.
