Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. People usually decorate doors and windows with red paper cuts. Because red means good luck. People usually clean their rooms, too. Because they want to sweep away bad luck. Children can get some new clothes or gifts from their parents and grandparents.
On New Year's Eve, families always have a big dinner. Everyone is watching TV and chatting. At midnight, there is usually a market.
On New Year's Day, people usually put on new clothes to visit their family and friends. They usually say, "Happy New Year's Day."
The Spring Festival ends at the Lantern Festival in two weeks. People usually eat a kind of zongzi called Yuanxiao. It can bring people good luck all the year round.
