However, the good times did not last long. After the "Cultural Revolution" began, Zhang Yongtai was branded as a reactionary technical authority and was criticized in the bullpen. His son Zhang Lian was sent to work in a small hospital in the countryside of Jiyang County, where he stayed for more than ten years. There are many orthopedic patients in rural areas, such as falls, blows and injuries. Zhang Lian treated patients silently. He didn't abandon his ancestral osteopathy, but formed his own unique osteopathy on this basis.

"From the early 1980s, I began to learn massage, acupuncture and bonesetting techniques from my grandfather and father. After more than ten years, I dared to treat patients independently.
