The Historical Records is divided into five parts, namely, the main chronicle, the table, the book, the family history, and the biography. It takes the emperors and other political center figures in history as the main line of compilation of the history books, and the division of labor is clear in all kinds of styles. "Benji" records the rise and fall of the emperors and the major historical events; "Table" is a chronicle of the major events of each historical period presented in the form of a table; "Book" is the history of astronomy, calendar, water conservancy, economy, culture and other aspects of the topic; "family" is the activities and deeds of the lords and nobles of the past dynasties; "biographies" are biographies of influential people of various strata of the past dynasties, with a few biographies of influential people. The "Lianzhuan" is the biographies of influential people from all walks of life, and there are a few chapters that record the history of ethnic minorities and so on.
