Suzhou Pingtan Group, affiliated to Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television Press and Publication, is a municipal institution with a formal organizational system. The original site of Suzhou Pingtan Group is located in the former site of the first Tianmen Guangyu Office in Suzhou Gongxiang. Suzhou Pingtan Group, formerly known as the New Pingtan Experimental Working Group, was founded in 195 1, and 1956 was renamed Suzhou Pingtan Group, and its founders were Pan Boying and Cao Hanchang.

1960, Suzhou Pingtan Group was merged and renamed Suzhou Pingtan Group 1.

1982 moved back to the first gate of Gongxiang. Recently, the original Guangyu office was expanded and relocated, and the regimental headquarters temporarily moved to work near Shilu. The site of the new mission (including the expanded "Guangyu Office") is the second phase reconstruction project of the city government in 2000, with a total area of more than 2,800 square meters.

Guangyu Bookstore was formerly the guild organization of Suzhou Pingtan artists. At present, the gatehouse, the stone building commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Museum/KLOC-0, and the stele gallery showing Pingtan's history are well preserved.

Guangyu Society has laid the foundation for improving the status of pingtan artists and the development of pingtan art. It is the earliest guild organization in pingtan industry, with the largest number of actors and the longest existence, which has played the greatest role in the development of pingtan art. Over the past 200 years, Guangyu Society has appeared many famous artists and schools, and is known as "a thousand miles of books are shining".

The bookstore is now located at No.8, First Tianmen, Guanqian Street. Start performing long stories every afternoon 1: 30, with a book every half month, mainly for the elderly audience. At 7: 30 in the evening, there will be a pingtan teahouse, which mainly receives tourists from the Soviet Union.
