Ta 'er Temple is also called Ta 'er Temple. It was named after the Great Silver Pagoda built in Dajinwa Temple in memory of Zong Kaba, the founder of Yellow Sect. In ancient times, it was called "Foshan", and in Tibetan, it was called "gun born Bahrain", which means "Maitreya Temple with 100,000 lions roaring Buddha statues". Located in Lianhua Mountain, southwest corner of Rouchade Town, Huangzhong County. It is the birthplace of Zong Kaba, the founder of Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism in China, one of the six monasteries of Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism in China, the first scenic spot in Qinghai Province and the national key cultural relics protection unit.
The temple was founded in the thirty-ninth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1560) and has a history of more than 400 years. The whole temple is a magnificent building complex, which is composed of many temples, halls, pagodas and monasteries, and integrates Chinese and Tibetan arts. Covering an area of about 600 mu, it is the activity center of Tibetan Buddhism in the northwest of China, and it is also famous in the whole country and Southeast Asia.
