● Illy Maxime Frye

Maixilaifu is a unique form of entertainment for Uighurs. It integrates song and dance, various folk entertainment and customs, and plays a social role in enriching people's spiritual life and spreading national art and morality. There are two main forms of Maixilaifu in Yili: Maixilaifu hosted by peers in turn and Maixilaifu having a picnic in the suburbs, both of which have the nature of dinner. Maixilaifu, presided over by peers in turn, is usually held during the winter slack season, and peers participate. Each participant takes turns to hold it in his own home, and the host is responsible for providing places and meals, mostly in the evening. It belongs to Marek Simili. Generally, the outing of Maixilaifu in the suburbs is held irregularly in spring, summer and autumn, mostly in the riverside, lakeside, orchard, forest and grassland in the suburbs, mostly on sunny days, and the scale can be large or small.

● Camel race

Camel racing is a traditional sports and entertainment activity of Mongolian people in Yili. In pastoral areas, old herders often ride well-trained camels in order to catch up with unruly fierce horses, because camels can last longer than horses. Camel races are usually held in the dead of winter. Because camels are huge, heavy and have wide feet, if they are not covered with snow in winter, they will raise dust and smoke when they run, and they can't see the road ahead clearly. Even in snowy winter, the snow is sparse and foggy, just like a tribe, spectacular and unusual. Camel races are rarely held unless it is an important festival in the old society or an auspicious day for princes and nobles to hold weddings. Therefore, the prize money of the winner of the competition is very rich.
