At the fourth meeting of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage held from September 28th to June 54381October 2nd, 2009, China announced that the Chinese paper-cutting project was included in the "Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity".
