What's the difference between Suzhou Daoxiang Village and Beijing Daoxiang Village?

First, brand creation is different.

Regarding the brand establishment, Suzhou Daoxiang Village is a 248-year-old brand, and Beijing Daoxiang Village is a new enterprise born in the 1980s.

In the thirty-eighth year of Qing Qianlong (AD 1773), Suzhou people such as Shen Qiuquan opened a tea candy store in Guanqian Street, Suzhou, and took the word "Xiang Tao Village" as the name of the store, which was also the first "Xiang Tao Village" in history.

According to the Southern Diet Legend, Gan Long went down to the south of the Yangtze River. After eating cakes in Daoxiang Village, Suzhou, he loved them very much and later gave him a plaque. Since then, this signboard has become famous all over the world. Up to now, Daoxiang Village in Suzhou has experienced ups and downs, but it has never stopped operating. With a history of 248 years, it was recognized as the first time-honored brand in China by the Ministry of Commerce in 2006.

Compared with Daoxiang Village in Suzhou with a long history, Daoxiang Village in Beijing is obviously "immature". Daoxiang Village, Beijing, founded in 1983, is a post-80s cutting-edge enterprise.

Born in 192 1, Liu Zhenying, who had been an apprentice in Daoxiangchun for 8 years, led the team to set up Nanwei Food Store in Daoxiang Village, Dongcheng District. Because Daoxiangchun is not as famous as Daoxiangchun, it borrowed the name of Daoxiangcun. In 2005, Beijing Daoxiang Village Food Co., Ltd. was incorporated and became the present Daoxiang Village in Beijing.

Second, product sales are different.

Regarding product sales, Suzhou Daoxiang Village focuses on the pastry field, and Beijing Daoxiang Village has diverse products.

As we all know, Daoxiang Village is a well-known pastry brand at home and abroad. At the beginning of the establishment of Daoxiang Village in Suzhou, Suzhou-style cakes were the mainstay. In the past century, Daoxiang Village in Suzhou has gradually formed a strict skill inheritance system, and traditional handicraft skills have been passed down from generation to generation.

At the beginning of its establishment, Daoxiang Village in Beijing also featured cakes with southern flavor, but in recent years, it gradually began to promote "Beijing flavor" by "going to the south flavor", focusing on Beijing specialty products. In addition to cakes, cooked food, pot-stewed food and other non-staple food products also account for a large proportion of sales. The proportion of cooked food sales is even higher than that of cakes, and its positioning is more like a grocery store, which is gradually drifting away from the brand attribute of "cakes".

Third, the business scope is different.

With regard to the business scope, Suzhou Daoxiang Village is spread all over the country, facing the world, and Beijing Daoxiang Village mainly serves Beijing and surrounding markets.

Entering a new era, Suzhou Daoxiang Village has continuously expanded its brand marketing channels, integrated online and offline development, and kept pace with domestic and international development. At present, there are more than 800 specialty stores in China, covering most parts of the country. In addition, Suzhou Daoxiang Village is a traditional pastry enterprise that laid out overseas markets earlier. Its products are exported to more than 40 countries and regions around the world, and are loved and sought after by overseas consumers.

The business scope of Beijing Daoxiang Village is obviously regional, mainly oriented to Beijing and surrounding markets, with Beijing characteristics as the main feature, not involving overseas, and having certain influence around Beijing.
