What does Tomb-Sweeping Day pay attention to when examining the bones of old people?

According to folk tradition, if an old grave needs to be moved, it is called "moving the grave"; After the grave is dug, the remains are collected, which is called "evisceration".

People who are engaged in the industry of removing graves and collecting bones are called "local banks".

According to traditional folk customs, the work of clearing graves and bones is as follows:

1. Before preparing to move the grave, select a new grave;

2. After choosing the tomb site, it is necessary to determine the time to move the grave. Generally, before Tomb-Sweeping Day in that year, it was too late to decide on Tomb-Sweeping Day in the coming year;

3. Find the "Earth Bank" and go to the old grave. Family members burned paper money to pay homage and told the deceased to be "moved". The family members with the highest seniority first dig a little soil from the grave, and then the "soil bank" continues to dig;

4. When the coffin is dug up, people will open the big red envelopes prepared in advance and cover the coffin, which is called "keeping the dead from seeing the light of day";

5. Under the cover of a big red envelope, the person with the oldest qualification of "local travel" began to "pick up bones". After picking up, the bones were wrapped in red cloth with a cover and taken out;

6. After the body was taken out, the old grave became a big pit, and the family took out the wheat prepared in advance and scattered it into the pit, which could not be backfilled;

7. Carry the body wrapped in red cloth to the new tomb site, and then dig a new grave to bury the body, and the move will be over.
