Characteristics of train operation

Train diagram is a line diagram that describes the relationship between train running time and space by using the coordinate principle, indicating the running time of trains in various sections of the railway and the stopping and passing time at each station. The abscissa indicates the time, and the ordinate indicates the demarcation point (station), such as A, B, C and D. The diagonal line indicates the number of trains, and the number on the diagonal line indicates the number of trains. According to different time coordinates and uses, the train operation diagram can be divided into two-room diagram (that is, the vertical line represents two minutes in each room), 10 room diagram and hourly room diagram. According to the characteristics of train operation diagram, it can be divided into parallel operation diagram and non-parallel operation diagram, as well as single-line operation diagram, double-line operation diagram, single-line operation diagram, paired operation diagram and unpaired operation diagram, continuous operation diagram and tracking operation diagram.

The total number of passenger trains in China Railway will reach 2,673.5 pairs, an increase of 226.5 pairs compared with that before the map adjustment, among which EMU trains account for more than 58% of the national passenger trains.
