When energized, free electrons and empty holes move from the cold end to the hot end of the thermopile under the action of an external electric field, which is equivalent to the compression process of refrigerant in a compressor. At the cold end of the thermopile, the heat absorption through the heat exchanger simultaneously causes electron-vacancy hole pairs, which is equivalent to the heat absorption and evaporation of the refrigerant in the evaporator. In the hot end of the electric heat stack, the electron-vacuum-hole pair compounding occurs, while the heat is emitted through the heat exchanger, equivalent to the heating and condensation of the refrigerant in the condenser.

Thermoelectric air conditioning has the following characteristics:Thermoelectric elements require DC power to work; changing the direction of the current can cause adverse effects on cooling and heating; the thermal inertia of the thermoelectric fins is very small, and the cooling time is very short. In the case of good heat dissipation at the hot end and empty with a load at the cold end, the maximum temperature difference can be reached in less than 1 minute after the heat sink is energized. By adjusting the working current of the module, the cooling speed and temperature can be adjusted, and the precision of temperature adjustment can reach 0.001℃, which is easy to realize the continuous adjustment of energy. In the case of good design and application, the cooling efficiency can reach more than 90%, while the heating efficiency is much greater than 1; small size, light weight, compact structure is conducive to reducing the quality of maintenance of electric vehicles; high reliability, long service life, easy maintenance; there are no moving parts, so there is no vibration, friction, noise and impact resistance.

Electric air conditioning principle of operation: warm air system

①Heat pump.DC brushless motor-driven electric vehicle heat pump air conditioning system works as shown in Figure. ②PTC electric heater: PTC electric heater is a kind of heater with PTC thermistor element as the heat source.PTC thermistor is usually made of semiconductor material, and its resistance changes rapidly with the change of humidity. When the outside temperature drops, the PTC resistance decreases accordingly, but the amount of heat generated increases accordingly. Materials can include ceramic positive temperature coefficient thermistors and organic polymer positive temperature coefficient thermistors. Ceramic PTC thermistor is used in the empty pavement mounted electric heater.PTC thermistor element has the characteristic of resistance value increasing or decreasing with the change of ambient temperature, so the PTC heater has the characteristics of energy saving, constant temperature, safety, and long service life.

Electric vehicle air conditioning principle of operation:Heat pump air conditioning system principle

Air paving auxiliary electric heaters can include bonded ceramic PTC heaters and metal PTC tubular heaters. Bonded ceramic PTC heater is a heater that uses high-temperature-resistant resin to bond multiple ceramic PTC chips and aluminum corrugated heat sinks together. It has good heat dissipation and stable electrical performance. Among them, the bonded ceramic PTC heater includes a heater surface charged type and a heater surface uncharged type.

Metal PTC tubular heater adopts imported nickel-iron alloy wire as the heating material, and the heat pipe is inlaid with aluminum fins, which has very good heat dissipation effect. The heater is equipped with temperature regulator and thermal fuse, which makes the use of the product more safe and reliable. This kind of heater has the good characteristic of PTC material, and is used as the extension heating of one point air regulation.

3) Waste heat + PTC. with the help of heat generated by high-power devices (power converters, drive motors, motor regulators, etc.). , heat can be exchanged to the interior environment of the vehicle. When the heat is insufficient, the paving PTC heater is activated.
