What is the earliest dye used in the world?

A long time ago, humans made red, yellow and purple natural dyes from plants or insects and shells. The first blue dye-"Indigo" is extracted from magnolia leaves, while the red dye can be extracted from madder roots or flowers. Indigo dye was used in the East and Europe at that time because of its dark color, stain resistance and colorfastness.

The first synthetic dye in the world was discovered by William Henry Perkin, a British college student aged 1856 and 18 respectively. He called it "aniline violet" 1859, Bazin of France invented the synthesis method of red dye. 1868, Grabe and Liemann of Germany extracted alizarin, the main component of rubia, and synthesized artificial rubia red dye. The main components of indigo were synthesized by Bayer 1880 in Germany.
