Wang Lei transfer case

"Wang Lei transfer case" became a major concern of the fans after the end of the 06-07 season. After the end of the season, fans are concerned about a focus, this case has become the CBA league history of the first case because of the player belongs to the lawsuit. January 8, "Wang Lei case" sentencing is imminent, the case into the countdown stage. Compared to the "official Xiu Chang identity door" simple and clear, the test is the Chinese Basketball Association's boldness and level of governance, "Wang Lei transfer case" deeper significance is to improve the CBA transfer system, clear clubs of responsibility and rights. This is a big event that should be recorded in the history of CBA.

The beginning and end of the case

In May 2004, Renhe Group spent 8 million yuan to buy out the ownership of the men's basketball team of Henan Ball Games Center and the qualification of the first team of registered players, and then set up the Renhe Club on the basis of this.

In September 2004, Renhe Club signed employment contracts with five players, including Wang Lei, for three years.

In August 2006, Henan Ball Center and Renhe Club signed an Agreement on the relocation of Renhe Club from Henan to Shanxi.

After the end of the 2006-2007 CBA season, Wang Lei returned to Henan according to the Agreement.

On June 28, 2007, Wang Lei, the Henan player of the former Shanxi Zhongyu team, was officially transferred to the eight-champion CBA team Bayi.

On August 8, 2007, Renhe Group sued Zhongyu Club and Henan Ball Center. Renhe Group argued that the two defendants signed the clause that infringed on the plaintiff's rights and interests without the group's consent or authorization; it requested the court to confirm the invalidity of the contents of the second and third articles of the Agreement signed by the two defendants.

At the end of August 2007, Henan Ball Center transferred Wang Lei to Bayi Fubon Club based on the Agreement.

On September 4, 2007, the National Basketball Administration Center expressed its agreement to Wang Lei's registration with Bayi.

On Oct. 18, 2007, the Xiaodian District Court of Taiyuan City ruled in the first instance that the agreement related to Wang Lei's return to Henan after one year of playing in Shanxi Zhongyu was invalid.

On Nov. 9, 2007, the Henan Ball Center appealed the decision to the Taiyuan Intermediate Court on the last day of the appeal period.

[edit]Brief introduction of previous foreign aiders

So far (before the start of the 0708 season)*** four foreign aiders have played in Shanxi Zhongyu team. After 2 years of baptism, Shanxi Zhongyu team has grown a lot, but in terms of selection of reinforcements for two consecutive years but not enough to do, both ended in failure.

Gold: 1997 45th overall pick by the Wizards, played more than 20 regular season games, averaging 3 points, 2 assists. 2006 ~ 2007 season, the first of the second round was selected by the team in the first round, averaging 24 points, was the team's scoring champion. In June 2007, he left the team and turned his head to Zhejiang Wanma. Gao De is the best of all the current Zhongyu foreign aiders, he has the spirit of hard work and extraordinary desire to win, as well as rich experience and superb jump. His departure is a bit of a disappointment.

Damon King: No NBA experience. Averaged 16 points per game and was the CU's scoring leader last season. Has an accurate 3-point shooting percentage and was also the captain and centerpiece of CYU last season. Whether he will return next season is uncertain. It has a 1.0M bounce and very high shooting percentage, but unfortunately not supported by his teammates. Currently playing in the Lebanese league.

Wingott: Played for the Kings in the summer league and was not offered a contract. He comes from the University of Tennessee and has been a varsity starter, but unfortunately was found to have used drugs during a drug test and his college career was over. He was a no-brainer and the Coyotes picking it up was another failure. Currently plays in the Puerto Rican league.

Rashid: A super water boy, not even as good as an average Asian player. No morals! Also complained about the team at one point!

Bunchy Wells: Position: point guard / small forward; Height: 1.96m / 6'5; Weight: 95kg / 209lbs; Birthday: 1976-09-20. oddly heavy tonnage swingman, messy playmaker. Under two meters tall with the stats and low post game of a power forward. No defensive specialist would want to face him, and from a troublesome player for the Blazers to a bench regular for Memphis, he eventually found the perfect space for his talents in Sacramento.2008-12-13Bunchy Wells joins Shanxi Zhongyu.

The young Shanxi Zhongyu team has suffered through the selection process, and hopes this year's foreign aid will set the team up for greatness!

Zhang Beihai said the team was shocked to learn of the devastating earthquake in Sichuan and wished the people in the affected areas a speedy recovery. He expressed his gratitude to the IBL tournament organizers for their move to raise donations for the affected areas.

Javier said he hoped Chinese fans would follow the Shanxi Zhongyu game over the Internet.
