How to make traditional culture teaching more effective

The determination and implementation of effective classroom teaching principles must be based on the analysis of teaching content and learning situation.

Taking the teaching of The Analects of Confucius as an example, from the teaching content, The Analects of Confucius has a long history and has a great sense of distance from today's society in language expression, which has great obstacles for students to understand the meaning. The Analects of Confucius is a record, that is to say, it is produced in dialogue. However, the context of many dialogues in The Analects of Confucius can no longer be reproduced, and the understanding of some sentences will inevitably lead to uncertainty, which also increases the difficulty of reading. In addition, although The Analects was written in classical Chinese, it cannot be called classical Chinese. The model of quotations and the style of dialogue are only the seeds of ancient Chinese format, so the teaching of The Analects is definitely different from the general teaching of classical Chinese. Judging from the learning situation, most students have learned several quotations from Chinese textbooks in junior high school. Although they are no strangers to The Analects, they are not familiar with it. Through the questionnaire survey, we found that students expect to broaden their horizons in class and learn more stories related to Confucius and The Analects. I hope the teacher's questions can lead to thinking and discussion and exercise thinking. But they don't want to learn the basic knowledge of words, and they don't want to recite words.

The combination of ideological and interesting.

In view of this situation, the author designed three links in the lecture of Confucius' Life: an inspirational teenager from a single-parent family, a mortal with joys and sorrows, and an extraordinary philosopher. "Inspirational Teenagers from Single-parent Families" focuses on their unhappy childhood. Confucius was born in the field of his parents and was crowned after his birth, hence the name Qiu. I have been living with my mother, and I don't know if I have a father. His father died when he was three, and his mother died when he was seventeen. Confucius wanted help at a banquet hosted by a doctor in Lu, but he was kicked out because of his low status. However, Confucius did not belittle himself and sink down. On the contrary, he works hard, is eager to learn and is aggressive. "Ordinary people with joys and sorrows" starts with Confucius' joys and sorrows, and restores Confucius as an ordinary person. He likes singing, joking when he is happy, scolding students when he is angry, crying when he is sad, living in seclusion when he complains, being tempted when he is tempted, and swearing when he encounters a crisis of trust. It turns out that Confucius is also a flesh and blood, amiable and lovely normal person. Just like the elders around us, students can approach Confucius emotionally. The Extraordinary Sage is based on the first two links, so it is easily accepted by students. After listening to the class for two weeks, the students have the following feelings:

I experienced different Confucius and different Analects of Confucius. Confucius no longer only talks about learning, and The Analects of Confucius no longer only remembers truth. It seems that at the mention of their names, that awe (a bit like philosophy) gradually fades. Instead, it is fresh, and I look forward to these forty minutes every week.
