What are the precious national costumes in China?
In ancient Manchu, clothes were mainly flag-mounted. Men's flag dress is a robe with horseshoe sleeves, and young people wear mandarin jackets in spring and summer. The women's flag skirts are particularly long, and most of them fall to the feet. There are many patterns on the clothes, and several layers of exquisite lace are embroidered on the skirt, cuffs and neckline. Moreover, Manchu men and women like to hang accessories on their waists, such as fan belts, Yu Pei, purses and sachets. Manchu costumes can also be divided into formal clothes, auspicious clothes, regular clothes and casual clothes according to their wearing conditions, all of which are exquisite and beautiful.
The colors of Manchu costumes are mostly elegant white and blue-purple, and red, pink, light yellow and black are also common colors of costumes. Manchu traditionally likes to use white, which is more expensive and symbolizes auspiciousness, so Manchu clothes are often decorated with red flags and white edges on a blue background.
In 2008, Manchu embroidery was included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list, and in 2009, Manchu costumes were included in the second batch of regional intangible cultural heritage list in Inner Mongolia.
There are also Tibetan costumes, which were also included in the national intangible cultural heritage list in 2008.
Due to natural conditions, production conditions and other factors, more than 200 kinds of Tibetan costumes were born in its development process, ranking first among ethnic minorities. Tibetan men's clothing can be divided into work clothes, formal clothes and samurai clothes.
The costumes of Tibetan women are mainly displayed in major festivals and activities. Women in rural areas or towns wear long-sleeved robes in winter and sleeveless robes in summer, with shirts with various patterns and colored striped "straps" around their waists, but girls generally don't wear them. Because the climate in Tibet is different, the style of clothing is also different.
As early as 2006, Miao costumes were selected into the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists. The most famous Miao costumes are holiday costumes. There are all kinds of exquisite embroidery and complex and gorgeous silver ornaments, including headdresses and collars. Some silver ornaments weigh 10 kg.
Miao people's clothes are also called miao clothing. Men's casual wear is generally double-breasted tops and trousers, while women's casual wear is generally straight-breasted tops and round neck tops, and the bottoms are various pleated skirts and trousers.
Another major feature of Miao costumes is that they are embroidered with all kinds of flowers, birds, fish and insects, and some will be embroidered with totems such as phoenix, supplemented by silver pieces and silver thread embroidery to show solemnity.
