Lao Yuanji's Geomantic View
In nature, wind and water can flow. In the word "feng shui", Lao Yuanji thinks that wind refers to vitality and field energy, while water is more dynamic and dominates flow and change. Geomantic omen is actually a philosophical theory in ancient China to study the laws of the environment and the universe. Lao Yuanji thinks that the origin of geomantic omen can be traced back to Shang and Zhou Dynasties by studying historical materials.
Generally speaking, China traditional geomantic omen should follow three principles in the survey, namely, the integration of heaven and earth, the balance of yin and yang, and the coexistence of five elements. In the study of modern geomantic omen, geomantic omen is defined as a natural science integrating geophysics, hydrogeology, cosmology, meteorology, environmental landscape, architecture, ecology and human bioinformatics. "House is based on emotion, spring water is blood, land is meat, vegetation is hair, house is based on clothes, and portal is the crown. If there is, it is elegant and auspicious. " This passage of the ancients described the relationship between Feng Shui and human settlements. Using the principle of geomantic omen, we can understand and study the natural environment, and use and transform it according to its situation, thus creating the living environment and life process. This is the concept of Feng Shui refined by Lao Yuanji's expert team when studying Feng Shuiyi.
