Does learning English have an impact on our traditional culture?

I don't know whether it's Peking University or Tsinghua. I can't remember clearly. I once took the Chinese Pinyin test for college students in our school, and those who passed were exempted from learning Chinese. (ridiculous! Obviously, the result was beyond everyone's expectation-less than 3% people passed.

Even if a person uses his mother tongue, he will not always feel "recognizing the thief as the father".
