Christmas Children's Songs

Christmas children's songs include Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, O Christmas Tree, Twelve Days Of Christmas, and Deck the Halls.

1, "Jingle Bells"

It is a children's song with lyrics and music by James Rhodes Pierpont, which was sung by the students of the American Holiday School in Boston in 1857, when there was a Thanksgiving in the church, and soon became a popular classic Christmas song. Two years later, the song was once again publicly released, officially named Jingle Bells.

2, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"

This one is a very classic, full of blessings of a Christmas nursery rhyme. This Christmas carol originates from the English tradition of hymns popularized in the 16th century in the western countryside of England. The lyrics show a scene in which the rich in traditional society would give Christmas food, such as figgy pudding, to carolers on Christmas Eve day.

3. 'O Christmas Tree'

This song originated as a German Christmas ballad, and its German name is 'O Tannenbaum'. Around 1824, a Leipzig organist added lyrics to the ballad, describing the evergreen Christmas tree as a symbol of hope in the winter. It is a favorite of many children and parents because of its simple melody and beautiful meaning.

4, "Twelve Days Of Christmas"

"The Twelve Days Of Christmas" is a far-reaching "song of enlightenment". For hundreds of years after the sixteenth century, Catholics were unable to preach and practice their faith openly because the Church of England did not recognize the existence of Catholicism. In order to achieve their goal of secret evangelization, they were inspired to write this song.

The song itself is beautiful and catchy, and at first glance has nothing to do with religion at all; it's just about the twelve gifts to be prepared for Christmas in the twelve days, which in fact imply twelve religious meanings in Catholicism.

5. "Deck the Halls"

This is a classic and cheerful Christmas song. The most memorable part of this children's song, which originated in 16th-century Wales, is that each of its lyrics is followed by Fa la lala la la la la la la la la.
