Euro 2012 Final Four

The 2012 UEFA European Football Championships were held in Poland and Ukraine from June 8 to July 1, 2012, the third time after the 2000 UEFA European Football Championships that the tournament was co-hosted by two countries***. ***Sixteen European national soccer teams participated in the final week of the tournament. With the exception of the host countries Poland and Ukraine, the remaining teams had to compete for a place in the final week through the play-offs. Co-hosted by two countries UEFA President Michel Platini announced on April 18 at Cardiff City Hall in Wales that the 2012 UEFA Euro will be co-hosted in two Eastern European countries, Poland and Ukraine. This will be the second consecutive time that the UEFA Cup has been hosted by two different countries.The 14th edition of the European Championships kicks off on June 8, 2012 at the National Arena in Warsaw, and on July 1, Italy and Spain battle it out in Kiev.
