Traditional subscription mode and OA mode

OA (Open Access) mode was selected when submitting the manuscript, and the manuscript cannot be changed to non-OA mode after being accepted. OA mode refers to an open access publishing mode chosen by the author when publishing papers, which allows readers to access and download papers for free. Once a paper is accepted and published, it will usually be published on the website of OA journals immediately.

Non-OA mode refers to the publishing mode that paper publishing requires paid subscription or purchase to access and download. In this mode, papers can usually only be obtained from the publishing house website or other paid resource libraries.

Therefore, if OA mode has been selected, the paper will remain open and cannot be changed to non-OA mode. If the author hopes that the paper can be accessed and downloaded free of charge, he should carefully read the publishing policy and requirements of the journal when submitting the manuscript to ensure the correct publishing mode is selected. If the author finds that he has made a mistake after submitting the manuscript, he can also contact the journal editor or publishing house to see if it is possible to change the publishing mode. But this is usually very rare, because publishers usually specify the requirements of publishing mode before the manuscript is accepted.
