Meaning of Individualized Instruction

Individualized instruction is an instructional method designed to suit the needs, interests, abilities, and learning pace of individual students. Individualized instruction does not mean learning alone. When the same materials and teaching methods cannot address the differences in the levels of students in a classroom, the teacher must design a differentiated program of instruction to take into account the individual's abilities, interests, needs, and possible difficulties in the teaching process.

It is different from "individualized teaching", which is only a kind of "one-to-one" teaching implementation, it may or may not be individualized teaching, the key lies in whether it is specially designed to meet the needs of the student's ability. The key lies in whether it is a specially designed teaching program that meets the needs of the student's ability.
