How to make crossbows with bamboo

The method of making crossbows with bamboo is as follows:

1, prepare materials

First of all, you need to prepare the following materials: two bamboos about 1 m long, a sharp knife, some hemp rope, a bowstring and some arrows.

2, making bow arm

Cut a bamboo into two pieces, each about 50 cm long. Then cut each bamboo into an arc with a knife to make a bow arm. Make sure that the two bow arms are the same shape and size.

Step 3 make bowstring

Take out the bowstring from the reel, adjust its length to the distance between the two bow arms and add some allowance. Tie the bowstring to both ends of the bow arm to ensure that it is tight and will not loosen.

4. Make crossbows

Cut another bamboo into two pieces, each about 30 cm long. Cut each bamboo into a flat shape with a knife and make a crossbow. Make sure that the two crossbows are the same size and shape.

5, fixed crossbow arm

Put the bow arm on both sides of the crossbow body and tie it firmly to the crossbow body with fine hemp rope. Make sure that the contact point between the bow arm and the crossbow body is in the center, so that the crossbow can shoot arrows.

Step 6 test the crossbow

Install the crossbow and then pull the bowstring. Make sure that the bowstring is tight and the crossbow arm is not loose. Then try to shoot some arrows in a safe place to ensure that the crossbow can work normally.

Special attention should be paid to safety in the process of making bamboo crossbows. When testing the crossbow, please make sure there is no one around to avoid injury. Bamboo crossbows can be used for hunting or fighting, but please observe local laws and regulations.
