Can someone describe the AO wastewater process in detail, thanks!
AO, A for anaerobic, O for aerobic.
Based on different purposes are divided into nitrogen removal process and phosphorus removal process. Both can be called AO (subdivided AnO and ApO).
1. Nitrogen removal is: O pool aerobic state of ammonia and nitrogen in the nitrifying bacteria under the action of nitrate nitrogen, O pool mixture back to the A pool, in the anoxic state of the A pool, nitrate nitrogen in the denitrifying bacteria under the action of nitrogen gas.
2. Phosphorus removal is: the main role of bacteria for the polyphosphorus bacteria, polyphosphorus bacteria in the anaerobic state of the release of P, aerobic state of the absorption of phosphorus, and finally in the aerobic pool sludge discharge will be excluded from the system out of P.
PS: If it is said that AO is used to deal with high concentration of organic wastewater, I can only laugh.
