What's the use of Harry Potter's tie
Hogwarts School is divided into four colleges, namely Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each college has different characteristics and values. The design of the tie depends on the college to which the student belongs:
-Gryffindor's tie is red and yellow, representing courage and adventure.
Hufflepuff's tie is yellow and black, representing intelligence and wisdom.
Ravenclaw's tie is blue and silver, representing creativity and talent.
-Slytherin's tie is green and silver, representing ambition and determination.
By wearing ties of different colors, students can show their college identity and the values represented by the college. Ties are a part of Hogwarts uniforms, which enable students to show their sense of belonging on campus and distinguish them from other students. Therefore, ties have a symbolic role in the Harry Potter series.
