Puning Chaoyang, singing and dancing.

Puning Chaoyang English songs have formed different genres and styles in their wide spread. According to the dance rhythm, it can be roughly divided into three types: English songs for slow board, English songs for medium board and English songs for allegro. Allegro English songs have a fast rhythm and tight drums, which change with the opening and closing of the ranks. The English songs used are short and pithy. Allegro English songs are generally divided into three categories: duet style, Nanshan school of literature and Nanshan school of martial arts. The duet style is the application of the performance procedures of English songs such as single hammer and double hammer, which is integrated into the boxing style of Nanquan's singles, doubles, three-sided fighting and four-sided fighting. Because of the organic integration of southern martial arts, the dance movements are particularly brave and powerful. The characteristics of Nanshan School English songs are that not all the dancers are holding sticks, while the front players are holding sticks in both hands, while the back players are holding tambourines and drumsticks, which are warm and lively. In the process of dancing, there are occasional performances of "crossing the river", which makes the dance melody have a wonderful turning point and shade. This is the uniqueness of Nanshan School of Literature. The team structure and performance form of English songs of Nanshan Five Schools are similar to those of Nanshan Literary School, but there is no "crossing the river" form in the five schools. The characteristic of Wu Pai is that a group of "percussion groups" from more than 20 to more than 30 often appear in the changes of the array, which highlights the courage of "Wu" and makes the scene more magnificent.

Due to the fast pace and strong training intensity of Allegro English songs, the development of Nanshan Wushu School is facing some substantial difficulties in Chaoshan area, and its heroic and brave spirit is difficult to show its past scenery. At present, Allegro Ying Ge Martial Arts School is well developed by Ying Ge team in Caowei Village, Tongyu, Chaoyang. The main development advantage of Caowei English song team is to break through the dilemma of lacking talents and funds for English song development. Relying on the development of the shrine, the team welcomes the Virgin Mary and Mazu (Mazu Moline Niang, revered by coastal residents on both sides of the Taiwan Strait) into the village on February 7th and 8th of the lunar calendar every year, and organizes English song programs for young and middle-aged people to perform once or twice on a regular basis, which not only unites the whole village, but also enables young people to get exercise and improve their quality.

Caowei English songs are famous for their bravery, quick action and fierce momentum, and they are unique among Chaoshan English songs. This is mainly because Caowei Ying Ge, as a literary activity with Chaoshan characteristics, has a high reputation in Caowei Village. Almost all Cao Wei men sang and danced from primary school, and everyone knew how to sing and dance. Moreover, the organization mode is flexible and the appeal is strong. The funds are mainly raised through shrine activities and actively supported by local township leaders. Therefore, the development momentum is good, and it is thriving. It has become a vibrant and energetic literary team in Chaoshan Ying Ge team, and it has also become the living material of Chaoshan Allegro culture.

In Chaoyang English songs, there are also "female English songs" with different styles from the above schools. Women's English songs are derived from men's English songs, but their styles are different from traditional English songs that embody masculine beauty. They are light and lively, vigorous and handsome, refreshing and unique. Female English songs came into being in the 1950s. In recent years, the female English song teams that have carried out activities mainly include Huamei in Guiyu Town and the female English song teams in Longgang Village.

In Chaoyang English songs, there is also a back shed for English songs where conditions permit. The so-called "back shed" is a performance team closely behind the English singers, generally performing traditional Chinese opera fragments and martial arts. In recent years, in Chaoyang, most English song teams have no "back shed". As for Ying Ge players in Peng Qian, there is no hard quota. Generally, it depends on how many "able-bodied men" there are in my hometown. There are 24 people, 36 people (commonly known as 36-day plough), 72 people (commonly known as 72 gangsters), 108 people (dressed as the hero of 108 in Water Margin) and Mian.
