Why is the Yellow River the cradle of the Chinese nation?

Because the Yellow River gave birth to Chinese civilization.

The earliest excavated cultural relics and sites in modern archaeology in China prove that the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River are the birthplace of Chinese culture with Chinese culture as the main body. Many paleolithic human fossils and some paleolithic sites in the early primitive society have been unearthed in the Yellow River basin. Such as Lantian culture, Dahe culture, Ding Cun culture, Xu Jiayao culture, Dali culture, Hetao culture and Xia Chuan culture.

Lantian people in Lantian County, Weinan, Shaanxi Province are important early human fossils found in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, living about one million years ago, and also the oldest known Homo erectus in northern Asia.

The human history of the Yellow River;

Archaeologists in China discovered the earliest carved symbols in Jia Hu, Wuyang, Henan Province, along the Yellow River, about 8,000 years ago. Earlier (about 6000 years ago) neat rules were found in the Banpo cultural site in Xi, Shaanxi, and some symbols of rules were found. Symbols written in a certain style have been found in cultural sites such as Dawenkou and Ding Cun (4200-4 100 years ago).

Archaeologists have discovered more Neolithic ancient cultural sites in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River and the Loess Plateau, and their spatial distribution is also quite concentrated.

For example, the Neolithic cultural areas in the middle reaches of the Yellow River include Khan Lee culture in Henan, magnetic mountain culture culture in Hebei, Miaodigou culture in Yangshao and Longshan culture in Henan. The Neolithic cultural area in the lower reaches of the Yellow River includes Qingliangang culture, Dawenkou culture, Shandong Longshan culture and Yueshi culture. The Neolithic culture in these two areas is the most abundant and influential in China.
