What is the significance of the establishment of Guangdong's first 3D printing collaborative innovation platform?

Guangdong (Dali) 3D printing collaborative innovation platform was opened in Foshan on June 16. The platform promotes the transformation and upgrading of the traditional manufacturing industry in the Pearl River Delta by introducing international advanced industrial 3D printing technology, and plans to provide supporting services from design to products for more than 20,000 small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises every year.

Guangdong is a traditional manufacturing province. Up to now, the total number of 3D printing enterprises in Guangdong has exceeded 100, accounting for half of the total number of enterprises in this field in China.

Luo Jun, founder and executive director of China 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance, believes that in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's strategy, Guangdong should take the innovation and innovation platform construction of emerging technologies such as 3D printing, robotics and artificial intelligence as a breakthrough to attract top international scientists.

Guangdong (Dali) 3D printing collaborative innovation platform introduces advanced HP industrial 3D printing technology, integrates scientific research institutions, application enterprises and other forces, and provides comprehensive solutions for traditional manufacturing industries in the Pearl River Delta region through advanced technologies, processes and equipment, and provides supporting services from design to product for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in the region.

On the same day, Guangdong Lanwan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., which has settled in the 3D printing collaborative innovation platform, signed a framework agreement with the world-renowned University of Manchester for the joint laboratory of advanced laser engineering. The two sides will make efforts in the fields of next-generation metal printing and laser repair to build a research, development, incubation and industrialization base for metal 3D printing.

Six domestic and foreign scientists, including Lin Li, Seeram Ramakrishna, and GrahamTromans, President of the World 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance, were employed as special experts of Guangdong Lanwan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.

Luo Jun said that the next step will be to integrate users, enterprises, scientific research institutions and industrial designers in the field of 3D printing into Guangdong (Dali) 3D printing collaborative innovation platform, and build it into the largest 3D printing industrial Internet platform in China.
