What departments does Beijing University of Chinese Medicine have?
College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is the oldest and largest college in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, which integrates teaching, scientific research and medical services. Its predecessor was the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was founded in 1956.
The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine has a profound academic background. Its predecessor was the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, which was founded in 1958. It is one of the earliest departments of higher Chinese medicine education in China, and 1995 was renamed as College of Chinese Medicine.
The College of Life Sciences was founded on 20 16 and 10, and invited Academician Wang Zhizhi of China Academy of Sciences as the first dean. Since its establishment, it has taken the life science research of traditional Chinese medicine as its own responsibility, actively introduced a team of experts from home and abroad with multidisciplinary backgrounds, and made a series of innovative achievements in revealing the life essence of traditional Chinese medicine and the basic research on the prevention and treatment of major diseases of traditional Chinese medicine.
1982 established the Department of Acupuncture and Massage of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and merged with the Department of Acupuncture and Orthopaedics of Beijing Institute of Acupuncture and Trauma in 2000 to form the College of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
Huang Qi College of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine was established in July 2020. It is the first innovative college at home and abroad to train leading talents in traditional Chinese medicine. Through the consistent training mode of undergraduate and doctoral students, the college optimizes the curriculum system and innovates the education mode, and is committed to cultivating top-notch innovative talents in traditional Chinese medicine.
The School of Management of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine was formerly 1983, a training center for medical and health management cadres established under the guidance of the former Ministry of Health. It is one of the first seven training centers for medical and health management cadres in China and the only college of traditional Chinese medicine.
School of Nursing, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, founded in 1984, is one of the first TCM colleges in China to offer nursing higher education. Professor Wang Yongyan, an academician of China Academy of Engineering, is the first president of the College of Nursing.
