Hans? What is the pulpit in Witten's Tulip Pulp? Where did his idea come from?

Hans? Witten (about 1485-? ) is an important sculptor in Saxony and Lower Saxony, Germany. The main work is Tulip Forum (about 15 10RH). The pulpit is a place for preaching. Since15th century, the pulpit has achieved the same important position as the altar in Protestant churches. Witten broke through the traditional modeling mode of the pulpit, and designed the pulpit as tulip flowers, with huge leaves rising from the ground, the middle part resembling the shape of the Eucharist cup, and the little angels carved in the arc gap protruding outward; Leaves and stems support the platform at the top. The podium is calyx-shaped, surrounded by swirling decorative flowers and images of early Christian theologians. The prophet was sitting at the bottom of the spiral staircase, and a young man in overalls was climbing up from him. The idea of this forum comes from the story of the Old Testament: a miner was looking for ore in a tree under the guidance of an ideal, and later he was guided by an angel and found the treasure. Witten used the pulpit to symbolize the tree in the story, and the angel pointed out the right way for the miners who climbed it. This sculpture implies that the pulpit is a place to spread the word of God and can guide people to find the real treasure. Witten's sculptures are novel in conception, and the characters in them are extremely realistic, and the two have reached a perfect unity in his works.
