Introduction of Montane Pigeon
Also known as "Mengzhen pigeon". It is a kind of edible pigeon. It is also a beautiful ornamental pigeon. It was bred by the French from wild pigeons in France and Italy. It has a long body with a broad back, and is divided into hairy crown type, flat head type, hairy foot type and bare foot type. The male pigeon weighs about 850 grams, the female about 830 grams, and the weight of young pigeons often exceeds 450 grams. However, the reproductive ability is lower than other edible pigeons.
