Classification of Chinese Traditional Patterns
Chinese traditional patterns originated from painted pottery patterns in primitive society, with a history of 6000 ~ 7000 years. It can be divided into primitive social model, classical model, folk and folk plan and minority model. Ethnic minority patterns are patterns with ethnic characteristics created and circulated by ethnic minorities in their long-term production and life. For example, carpet patterns of Mongolian, Tibetan, Uygur and Kazak, batik patterns of Miao and Buyi, textile patterns of Zhuang, Dai, Li, Tujia, Gaoshan and Dong, and embroidery patterns of Miao, Yao and Bai.
