What is Nanking Summer Festival
The Summer Festival is a traditional Japanese festival that takes place from mid-July to late August every year.
During the festival, participants dress in kimono, a traditional Japanese costume, and then go on a series of garden tours, similar to a temple fair in China. And the Nanjing Summer Festival is a summer festival held in Nanjing.
In fact, the summer festival in Japan has its origins in the Chinese Bon Festival, which is what we call the Mid-Yuan Festival, the Ghost Festival, and is held on the 15th day of the 7th month of the lunar calendar.
In modern times, after Japan reformed and abandoned the Chinese lunar calendar, the summer festival was set between 8.13 and 8.15 every year.
